After Easter Reality

Christ is risen...now what? How do we as human apply this to our daily lives? How do we experience resurrection?
First things first! There are some things in our lives that are unhealthy and unholy and we need to put them in the grave and not dig them up.
Secondly, we need to trust God to bring restoration and hope to our lives in the places that are broken and scarred.
Thirdly, we need to lean in, draw close to Jesus so that we can hear his voice and know his heart. We cannot live a resurrected life on our own. We need his help.

Sisters, God truth and hope wants to overflow from your heart. Stop going back to that which holds you back from living the life He has for you. Today is he day to trust, to let go and to move forward un faith.

Jesus, Draw us close to you as we put one foot in front of the other while trusting in you. Give us hope for tomorrow and an extra measure of grace for today. Amen.

Real World, Real Faith Series - Question #1

Question Number One "IS GOD REAL OR WAS HE MADE UP IN ORDER TO HIDE US FROM THE TRUTH?" This is a great question. I had to think and pray on my response for a few days.  Quick answer: I think He is real. I personally know that deep within my heart.  Middle length answer: I think He is real...personal experience...but I can totally see that how God is incorrectly portrayed can cause people to lack trust in Him, in faith and in Christianity as a whole. You are not alone in this question.  Long answer: I didn't grow up in a Christian home. I had the Bible through by the time I was 12ish. I knew the dos and don'ts of being a Christian...but it wasn't until I was 16- that all of that knowledge became real. Stories and rules do not make a Christian. It is a personal and real relationship with Christ. At 16, Christ became real to me. He was no longer a warm and fuzzy story but a real presence in my life. So...I guess what I am trying to say is that I hope and pray that ...

Thankful Thursday

Thankful Thursday  What are you thankful for today? How have you seen the love and wonderful deeds of our Lord?  Psalm 107:21-22 Let them give thanks to the Lord for his unfailing love     and his wonderful deeds for mankind. Let them sacrifice thank offerings     and tell of his works with songs of joy.
