I Wanna Know What Love Is!

Yesterday was my mom's birthday. She went to heaven a few years ago and her birthday is always hard for me. I knew it would be a hard day. I tried to stay busy with back to back meetings, the gym, cooking dinner and catching up on blogging and social media posts for work and Think Pink. I was listening to my favorite 80's music - trying to keep myself positive.  I was attempting to avoid tears and that didn't work.

Around 8pm, I found myself listening to "I Wanna Know What Love Is" by Foreigner and I received a text from a dear friend: “Mommy, let’s not forget to pray for Pastor LM. She is our Pastor and she is very important. She teaches us about God.”

Do you want to know what love is? For me...It is the gift of friendship, the sweet prayers of a child and the many ways that God smiles down on me everyday, especially on tough days.

How are you experiencing love in your life? And how are you showing it to others?

I pray that you experience love in a new way today! <>< LMW

Real World, Real Faith Series - Question #1

Question Number One "IS GOD REAL OR WAS HE MADE UP IN ORDER TO HIDE US FROM THE TRUTH?" This is a great question. I had to think and pray on my response for a few days.  Quick answer: I think He is real. I personally know that deep within my heart.  Middle length answer: I think He is real...personal experience...but I can totally see that how God is incorrectly portrayed can cause people to lack trust in Him, in faith and in Christianity as a whole. You are not alone in this question.  Long answer: I didn't grow up in a Christian home. I had the Bible through by the time I was 12ish. I knew the dos and don'ts of being a Christian...but it wasn't until I was 16- that all of that knowledge became real. Stories and rules do not make a Christian. It is a personal and real relationship with Christ. At 16, Christ became real to me. He was no longer a warm and fuzzy story but a real presence in my life. So...I guess what I am trying to say is that I hope and pray that ...

Thankful Thursday

Thankful Thursday  What are you thankful for today? How have you seen the love and wonderful deeds of our Lord?  Psalm 107:21-22 Let them give thanks to the Lord for his unfailing love     and his wonderful deeds for mankind. Let them sacrifice thank offerings     and tell of his works with songs of joy.
