Cling to what is good! Romans 12:9

Cling to what is good! Romans 12:9

This week, I hope you cling to what is good.

Take time today to write down what's good in your life. What are you thankful for?

Now write down the things in your life that you would like to be different? The not so good things... can you let these things go? What is your life is weighing you down and keeping you from living your fullest life?

Sometimes we hold on to things that are not good for us. Deep down we know that they are not good but it's hard to give them up. It takes bravery and strength to give up the bad things and to cling to the good. God will give you everything you need to make wise decisions to let go of the things in your life that are not healthy or holy.

The Prayer: Lord, help me cling to what is good and to let go of that which is not healthy or holy. I need your strength and courage to take these next steps and I am counting on you to see me through this. I trust in you Lord. I trust in you. In Jesus name, Amen

Real World, Real Faith Series - Question #1

Question Number One "IS GOD REAL OR WAS HE MADE UP IN ORDER TO HIDE US FROM THE TRUTH?" This is a great question. I had to think and pray on my response for a few days.  Quick answer: I think He is real. I personally know that deep within my heart.  Middle length answer: I think He is real...personal experience...but I can totally see that how God is incorrectly portrayed can cause people to lack trust in Him, in faith and in Christianity as a whole. You are not alone in this question.  Long answer: I didn't grow up in a Christian home. I had the Bible through by the time I was 12ish. I knew the dos and don'ts of being a Christian...but it wasn't until I was 16- that all of that knowledge became real. Stories and rules do not make a Christian. It is a personal and real relationship with Christ. At 16, Christ became real to me. He was no longer a warm and fuzzy story but a real presence in my life. So...I guess what I am trying to say is that I hope and pray that ...

Thankful Thursday

Thankful Thursday  What are you thankful for today? How have you seen the love and wonderful deeds of our Lord?  Psalm 107:21-22 Let them give thanks to the Lord for his unfailing love     and his wonderful deeds for mankind. Let them sacrifice thank offerings     and tell of his works with songs of joy.
