Look, your King is coming to you; He is righteous and victorious, humble and riding in on. donkey, on a colt, the foal of a donkey. Zechariah 9:6

  • Can you think of where in the New Testament this Old Testament prophecy was fulfilled?
  • This prophecy says the coming Messiah is both "righteous and victorious" AND "humble and riding on a donkey." What does this say about Jesus?

Real World, Real Faith Series - Question #1

 Question Number One "IS GOD REAL OR WAS HE MADE UP IN ORDER TO HIDE US FROM THE TRUTH?" This is a great question. I had to think and pray on my response for a few days.  Quick answer: I think He is real. I personally know that deep within my heart.  Middle length answer: I think He is real...personal experience...but I can totally see that how God is incorrectly portrayed can cause people to lack trust in Him, in faith and in Christianity as a whole. You are not alone in this question.  Long answer: I didn't grow up in a Christian home. I had the Bible through by the time I was 12ish. I knew the dos and don'ts of being a Christian...but it wasn't until I was 16- that all of that knowledge became real. Stories and rules do not make a Christian. It is a personal and real relationship with Christ. At 16, Christ became real to me. He was no longer a warm and fuzzy story but a real presence in my life. So...I guess what I am trying to say is that I hope and pray that ...
