Wrapping Up 2019

Wrapping Up 2019

As the year of 2019 wraps up, take some time to reflect on the year. If you are the journalling type, write down the highs and lows of the year.

How have you seen God at work in your life? Are there things you are still waiting on?

The highs and lows of our stories are best understood when we look at them in light of the truth that we are part of a bigger story.

You are a part of a bigger story- the story of God.

I wonder where this story will take us in 2020?

The Prayer: Lord, thank you for your faithfulness in 2019. You have been present with me in the highs and the lows of this year. Help me to continue to trust you with all of my life and all of my story. In Jesus Name, Amen.

Real World, Real Faith Series - Question #1

Question Number One "IS GOD REAL OR WAS HE MADE UP IN ORDER TO HIDE US FROM THE TRUTH?" This is a great question. I had to think and pray on my response for a few days.  Quick answer: I think He is real. I personally know that deep within my heart.  Middle length answer: I think He is real...personal experience...but I can totally see that how God is incorrectly portrayed can cause people to lack trust in Him, in faith and in Christianity as a whole. You are not alone in this question.  Long answer: I didn't grow up in a Christian home. I had the Bible through by the time I was 12ish. I knew the dos and don'ts of being a Christian...but it wasn't until I was 16- that all of that knowledge became real. Stories and rules do not make a Christian. It is a personal and real relationship with Christ. At 16, Christ became real to me. He was no longer a warm and fuzzy story but a real presence in my life. So...I guess what I am trying to say is that I hope and pray that ...

Thankful Thursday

Thankful Thursday  What are you thankful for today? How have you seen the love and wonderful deeds of our Lord?  Psalm 107:21-22 Let them give thanks to the Lord for his unfailing love     and his wonderful deeds for mankind. Let them sacrifice thank offerings     and tell of his works with songs of joy.
