Praying through Scripture...

He shields all who take refuge in Him. Psalm 18:30

Prayer: Thank you Lord for the refuge I find in you. Help me to run to you instead of away from you when I am overwhelmed or stress. Help me to discover new ways to find refuge in you and to embrace your promise of shielding me. Amen.

Oración: Gracias Señor por el refugio que encuentro en ti. Ayúdame a correr hacia ti en lugar de alejarte de ti cuando estoy abrumado o estresado. Ayúdame a descubrir nuevas formas de encontrar refugio en ti y a aceptar tu promesa de protegerme. Amén.

Real World, Real Faith Series - Question #1

 Question Number One "IS GOD REAL OR WAS HE MADE UP IN ORDER TO HIDE US FROM THE TRUTH?" This is a great question. I had to think and pray on my response for a few days.  Quick answer: I think He is real. I personally know that deep within my heart.  Middle length answer: I think He is real...personal experience...but I can totally see that how God is incorrectly portrayed can cause people to lack trust in Him, in faith and in Christianity as a whole. You are not alone in this question.  Long answer: I didn't grow up in a Christian home. I had the Bible through by the time I was 12ish. I knew the dos and don'ts of being a Christian...but it wasn't until I was 16- that all of that knowledge became real. Stories and rules do not make a Christian. It is a personal and real relationship with Christ. At 16, Christ became real to me. He was no longer a warm and fuzzy story but a real presence in my life. So...I guess what I am trying to say is that I hope and pray that ...

Thankful Thursday  What are you thankful for today? How have you seen the love and wonderful deeds of our Lord?  Psalm 107:21-22 Let them give thanks to the Lord for his unfailing love     and his wonderful deeds for mankind.
