May 24, Praying Through Scripture

Praying through scripture...

She is more precious than rubies. Proverbs 3:15

This verse makes me think about the importance of seeing yourself as worthy and others. In God's eyes you are precious BUT so are all the other people you come in contact with. If you need help seeing other people the way God sees them, ask for His help. Spend some time today offering words of affirmation to others and as always being full of grace towards yourself.

Prayer for today: Dear Lord, help me to see others the way you see them. Remind me that they are precious in your site. Help me remember my worth as well. In Jesus Name, Amen.

Orando a través de las Escrituras ...

Ella es más preciosa que los rubíes. Proverbios 3:15

Real World, Real Faith Series - Question #1

Question Number One "IS GOD REAL OR WAS HE MADE UP IN ORDER TO HIDE US FROM THE TRUTH?" This is a great question. I had to think and pray on my response for a few days.  Quick answer: I think He is real. I personally know that deep within my heart.  Middle length answer: I think He is real...personal experience...but I can totally see that how God is incorrectly portrayed can cause people to lack trust in Him, in faith and in Christianity as a whole. You are not alone in this question.  Long answer: I didn't grow up in a Christian home. I had the Bible through by the time I was 12ish. I knew the dos and don'ts of being a Christian...but it wasn't until I was 16- that all of that knowledge became real. Stories and rules do not make a Christian. It is a personal and real relationship with Christ. At 16, Christ became real to me. He was no longer a warm and fuzzy story but a real presence in my life. So...I guess what I am trying to say is that I hope and pray that ...

Thankful Thursday

Thankful Thursday  What are you thankful for today? How have you seen the love and wonderful deeds of our Lord?  Psalm 107:21-22 Let them give thanks to the Lord for his unfailing love     and his wonderful deeds for mankind. Let them sacrifice thank offerings     and tell of his works with songs of joy.
