May 3, Praying Through Scripture

Praying through scripture...

"Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and your plans will succeed." Proverbs 16:3

The scriptures we share during the month of May are short and to the point. You can memorize them and incorporate them into your prayers.

Prayer: Lord, Help me to commit my plans to you and to see how you are working things out for my good. I know on my own I am limited in what I can do, but with your strength and power- I can do all the things you have called me to do. Thank you Lord for the success I will experience in your name. Amen.

"Comprométete con el Señor, hagas lo que hagas, y tus planes tendrán éxito". Proverbios 16: 3

Las escrituras que compartimos durante el mes de mayo son breves y precisas. Puedes memorizarlos e incorporarlos a tus oraciones.

Oración: Señor, ayúdame a cometer mis planes contigo y a ver cómo estás trabajando para mi bien. Sé por mi cuenta que estoy limitado en lo que puedo hacer, pero con tu fuerza y poder, puedo hacer todas las cosas que me has llamado a hacer. Gracias Señor por el éxito que experimentaré en tu nombre. Amén.

Real World, Real Faith Series - Question #1

 Question Number One "IS GOD REAL OR WAS HE MADE UP IN ORDER TO HIDE US FROM THE TRUTH?" This is a great question. I had to think and pray on my response for a few days.  Quick answer: I think He is real. I personally know that deep within my heart.  Middle length answer: I think He is real...personal experience...but I can totally see that how God is incorrectly portrayed can cause people to lack trust in Him, in faith and in Christianity as a whole. You are not alone in this question.  Long answer: I didn't grow up in a Christian home. I had the Bible through by the time I was 12ish. I knew the dos and don'ts of being a Christian...but it wasn't until I was 16- that all of that knowledge became real. Stories and rules do not make a Christian. It is a personal and real relationship with Christ. At 16, Christ became real to me. He was no longer a warm and fuzzy story but a real presence in my life. So...I guess what I am trying to say is that I hope and pray that ...

Thankful Thursday  What are you thankful for today? How have you seen the love and wonderful deeds of our Lord?  Psalm 107:21-22 Let them give thanks to the Lord for his unfailing love     and his wonderful deeds for mankind. Let them sacrifice thank offerings     and tell of his works with songs of joy.
