Fruit of the Spirit- PATIENCE

The fruit of the spirit
is love, joy, peace, PATIENCE, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self control. Galatians 5:22-23

Where do you lack patience? Did you know that a lack a patience is a result of wanting things to happen at your pace for your own good? A lack of patience is actually rooted in selfishness and can also be a sign of not trusting a person or God. It is important to be patient with both people and God just the way God is patient with you. When you find yourself being impatient, take a deep breath and think about the big picture. Ask God to help you and you will be amazed at how much calmer you will be.

Real World, Real Faith Series - Question #1

Question Number One "IS GOD REAL OR WAS HE MADE UP IN ORDER TO HIDE US FROM THE TRUTH?" This is a great question. I had to think and pray on my response for a few days.  Quick answer: I think He is real. I personally know that deep within my heart.  Middle length answer: I think He is real...personal experience...but I can totally see that how God is incorrectly portrayed can cause people to lack trust in Him, in faith and in Christianity as a whole. You are not alone in this question.  Long answer: I didn't grow up in a Christian home. I had the Bible through by the time I was 12ish. I knew the dos and don'ts of being a Christian...but it wasn't until I was 16- that all of that knowledge became real. Stories and rules do not make a Christian. It is a personal and real relationship with Christ. At 16, Christ became real to me. He was no longer a warm and fuzzy story but a real presence in my life. So...I guess what I am trying to say is that I hope and pray that ...

Thankful Thursday

Thankful Thursday  What are you thankful for today? How have you seen the love and wonderful deeds of our Lord?  Psalm 107:21-22 Let them give thanks to the Lord for his unfailing love     and his wonderful deeds for mankind. Let them sacrifice thank offerings     and tell of his works with songs of joy.
