Focusing your mind...

Romans 12:2 – Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.

What does it mean to renew your mind? Can you do this on your own? Have you ever stopped yourself when you were thinking of something bad? I think that in order to renew the mind and remove the bad, you must replace it with good. You must fill your mind with that which draws you closer to God, not drives you apart from Him. 

Today, spend time thinking about this verse and asking God to help you identify that which needs to be removed from your mind and what needs to go in its place. 

This would be a great journalling activity. Write the verse listed above in your journal and be honest with yourself and God when answering the questions above.

Real World, Real Faith Series - Question #1

 Question Number One "IS GOD REAL OR WAS HE MADE UP IN ORDER TO HIDE US FROM THE TRUTH?" This is a great question. I had to think and pray on my response for a few days.  Quick answer: I think He is real. Thankful Thursday  What are you thankful for today? How have you seen the love and wonderful deeds of our Lord?  Psalm 107:21-22 Let them give thanks to the Lord for his unfailing love     and his wonderful deeds for mankind.
