 You and your thoughts...

"You (God) will keep in perfect peace all who trust in you, all whose thoughts are fixed on you!" Isaiah 26:3 NLT

This is a great verse to help center you as you begin a new school year. I know for many of you, it looks so different but if you keep your thoughts fixed on God, you will have the gift of peace from Him to see you through whatever ever challenges and new adventures you have this fall.

Real World, Real Faith Series - Question #1

 Question Number One "IS GOD REAL OR WAS HE MADE UP IN ORDER TO HIDE US FROM THE TRUTH?" This is a great question. I had to think and pray on my response for a few days.  Quick answer: I think He is real. I personally know that deep within my heart.  Middle length answer: I think He is real...personal experience...but I can totally see that how God is incorrectly portrayed can cause people to lack trust in Him, in faith and in Christianity as a whole. You are not alone in this question.  Long answer: I didn't grow up in a Christian home. I had the Bible through by the time I was 12ish. I knew the dos and don'ts of being a Christian...but it wasn't until I was 16- that all of that knowledge became real. Stories and rules do not make a Christian. It is a personal and real relationship with Christ. At 16, Christ became real to me. He was no longer a warm and fuzzy story but a real presence in my life. Thankful Thursday  What are you thankful for today? How have you seen the love and wonderful deeds of our Lord?  Psalm 107:21-22 Let them give thanks to the Lord for his unfailing love     and his wonderful deeds for mankind.
